The Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Foundation was created in October 1995, committed by charter to the promotion of art and culture in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. The goal of the foundation is realized through the presentation of concerts and other musical events, as well as the multifaceted commitment toward music education, such as the support of the young artists of the Orchestral Academy in Salzau, the Choir Academy, and Masterclasses in Lübeck through the awarding of scholarships for young composers and exceptional new musicians.

The state of Schleswig-Holstein laid the financial groundwork for the foundation funds and continues to support the festival through the fulfillment of the foundation’s purpose with yearly donations. Even you, as a private person, have the opportunity to support the SHMF and utilize the considerable subsequent tax advantages.
