»Poland in Pulse« – With this motto, the 25th annual Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival (SHMF) invites you to join in on a journey of discovery through the Polish musical landscape. Festival director Prof. Rolf Beck and his team will present a widely varied concert program and show Poland’s music on the cutting edge: prominent soloists, orchestras, conductors and composers as well as rising young musicians will shine, presenting everything from Baroque to the Avant-garde, choral works to Chopin, chamber music to Klezmer and from large symphonic works to jazz.
The overview of figures and facts about the seven-week festival summer – with a total of 136 concerts, five »Music Festivals in the Countryside«, two Music Festivals for Children and 49 concert venues in 74 locations – hints at just how the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival transforms the northern-most German State, Lower Saxony, parts of Denmark and Hamburg into a musical land of fantasy.
