 Every summer the masterclasses of the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival take place in the Lübeck Conservatory. There, international students are taught by some of the most well renowned artists. Stars such as Grace Bumbry, Midori, or the King’s Singers give public lessons throughout the festival in the rooms of the conservatory. Situated in the heart of the Lübeck’s old town, the historical Unesco World Cultural Heritage Site buildings serve as the perfect environment: acoustically fine as well as architecturally beautiful concert halls, numerous practice rooms, and first-class instruments available. During the semester break, the resident students stimulate the participants of the masterclasses and their instructors as well. Work and pleasure become one amid the summer atmosphere in the many corners of the conservatory’s inner courtyard.
