 Emkendorf manor is located between the state capital Kiel and the district town Rendsburg. The noble estate was built between 1730 and 1745. Since 1929 the estate has belonged to the family of Dr. Curt Heinrich, offering its historical ambience for all kinds of events. With room for up to 1200 visitors, the large barn on the manor grounds serves as a concert hall for the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. Among the more impressive aspects of the concerts hall is the massive balcony construction that arches over artists and audience alike. The yearly Music Festivals in the Countryside have already become a tradition in Emkendorf, offering a very unique atmosphere.
