 The organization SAP (Systems, Applications, Products in Data-Processing) was founded in 1972 by five IBM employees and has since developed into the leading software distributor in the world. Along with the headquarters in Walldorf, the office in Hamburg and in seven other German cities, the SAP branches together employ almost 43,000 people in more than 50 countries. The Hamburg SAP branch offers a concert room, most suitable for ensemble music, as venue for the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival.
