Hasselburg manor is located near the Neustadt bay and is an outstanding example of a complete 18th century style manor and its facilities. The adjoining gatehouse is the largest and most elegant of the area and was drafted by the architect Greggenhofer. Today its rooms are used primarily as studios for various artists. The manor house of the estate attests to the baroque interior design with its baroque hall and illusionary ceiling frescos, which make it an impressive venue for the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. The interior rooms of the manor became famous through the film “Das Erbe der Guldenburgs”, which was filmed on location. The rooms are, however, not accessible to the general public as they are privately owned by the Beurmann family. Throughout the course of cultural events in Hasselburg, visits to the manor, as well as the private collection of antique instruments from the 17th and 18th centuries, are indeed possible.
This venue is not equipped with wheelchair access.
