We are very pleased that the Israeli mandolin virtuoso Avi Avital will come to Schleswig-Holstein in the summer of 2023, the year of the mandolin, to once again give a one-week mandolin workshop. At the end of the week there will be a final concert with all participants at the Musikhochschule Lübeck.

The workshop will celebrate the musical culture of the mandolin, focusing on the joy of playing and making music together. In various workshop units, Avi Avital with the support of Shaul Bustan, Steffen Trekel and others, will work on arrangements for plulgged instruments with all the participants. Associated sheet music will be made available to participants online after the registration deadline.

Conditions of participation:
We are looking for mandolin players 18 years and older (suitable for beginners with at least 2 years of playing experience, amateurs with long playing experience, semi-professionals and also students) who enjoy playing their instrument and would like to become part of the largest mandolin ensemble in Schleswig-Holstein. In order to be able to put together a strong-sounding mandolin orchestra, we are also looking for musicians who enjoy playing the guitar, mandola, mandoloncello and double bass, who will enrich the workshop with the timbres of their instruments.

The final concert will take place on July 22nd in the University of Music Lübeck.
