The German Record Museum has been housed in the historic TELDEC boiler house in the centre of Nortorf since 2022. It is the last remaining building from the time when the company was one of the largest and most traditional German record manufacturers. No less than 850 million shellac and vinyl records were pressed in the production halls until 1987. The museum's exhibition has been extensively expanded thanks to donations from the record archives of Norddeutscher Rundfunk Kiel and Hamburg. In addition to an original pressing station from TELDEC production weighing a centimetre, numerous rarities - from Edison phonographs over 100 years old to state-of-the-art music equipment - invite you to visit.
