In January 2017 the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg opened its doors to Hamburg, the north and to the whole world. The spectacular building combines three concert halls, a large music entertainment area and the public plaza, which offers a spectacular panorama view over the entire city. Built on the former Kaispeicher A, the glass construction projects 110 meters into the sky. With its location on the western tip of the modern Hafencity and close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Speicherstadt, the Elbe Philharmonic is a symbol of the city's history, present and future. The Small Hall is an intimate and versatile space with elegantly milled wood paneling providing perfect acoustics. Designed for 550 visitors, it is the ideal venue for chamber music, song and solo events as well as jazz and world music concerts. The SHMF is looking forward to being part of this special concert hall in the first season of the Elbphilharmonie!
