Halle 424 of the old freight station in the Oberhafen quarter of Hafencity Hamburg has established itself as a special concert and event venue for more than three years. What initially began as an experiment on the initiative of the photographer and set builder Jürgen Carstensen has now become a place for creative people. With its open, communicative atmosphere, Halle 424 attracts numerous visitors with a wide range of selected classical and jazz concerts. Here, new concert formats are tested with an interdisciplinary, experimental approach, supported by the inspiring urban atmosphere of the constantly changing space, which is redesigned with each event.
