The small Schillerstrasse theatre was built in 1994 in the heart of the town of Geesthacht, east of Hamburg, and quickly developed into a popular cultural venue where film lovers and theatre enthusiasts alike come together. The large theatre and cinema hall with its 293 seats and the latest lighting, sound and cinema technology offers everything the cultural heart desires. The expansion of two further auditoriums has brought even greater variety to the programme. The stage programme offers classical theatre, cabaret, comedy, Low German theatre art and both quiet and loud sounds.
