Stocksee / Open Air
For decades Gut Stockseehof has been a symbol of rural culture, hospitality and atmosphere in Holstein Switzerland. After becoming a noble estate in 1543, it belonged for two centuries to the Dukes of Holstein-Plön, who built a hunting lodge here on the small pond island. Unfortunately, this has not been preserved, unlike the carefully tended lime tree avenue, which was planted as early as 1816. Since 1926 the estate has been owned by the Baur family of bankers and shipowners from Hamburg. During the music festival in the countryside the grounds, including the beautiful park, are available for open-air concerts, picnics and walks.
