The Scheune (barn) of Wulfshagen is located just a few minutes’ drive from Kiel, on the manor of Wulfshagen. The mansion was built as a simple Baroque estate home in 1699. Located in the upper level of the house is the “blue cabinet,” also called the Liliencron room, in which Leonard Bernstein stayed while in Schleswig-Holstein. The garden house, located to the left of the mansion itself on the grounds of the estate, was built approximately 100 years after the main house. Until 1950, it served as storage and as a silo for grains. In 2009, it was renovated and converted into a space that could house concerts.
