For over 430 years, Ahrensburg Castle has been one of the most beautiful Renaissance castles in Schleswig-Holstein. It was owned by the noble family Rantzau and the merchant family Schimmelmann. In the castle park around the manor house, in the immediate vicinity of the Ahrensburg castle church and the castle garden, there will be an open-air SHMF stage in summer.
