St. Bartholomäus zu Wesselburen can already be seen from a distance from its striking onion tower, which is unique in the north. In 1738, the master builder Johann Georg Schott completed one of the most important baroque churches in Schleswig-Holstein in only two years on the foundations of the burnt-down predecessor building. With over 900 seats, it is the largest sacred building on the west coast. The interior impresses with its uniform inventory from the Baroque period. The Johann Heinrich Klapmeyer organ from 1741, reconstructed by the organ builder Rowan West in 2011, attracts national attention.
