An extraordinary celebration of the human voice – completely without instruments – awaits the audience this summer during the long a cappella night in the Music and Congress Center Lübeck (MuK). The British King’s Singers will be at the center of a colorful program that will cast a wide variety of perspectives on a cappella singing. Various ensembles are invited as illustrious guests and have one thing in common with the King’s Singers: the love for singing. The ensembles Quartonal and Vocoder from the Hamburg area and the EVA vocal ensemble from the Netherlands offer cross-genre classical works and pop songs in their own arrangements. A selection of songs in the typical “close harmony style” from the King’s Singers’ almost inexhaustible music library forms the sonic highlight of these concerts, with a brilliant grand finale that will include their guests.
