This year’s portrait artist Omer Meir Wellber invites you to experience a joyful and atmospheric evening together with fellow musicians from all over the world, all of them exceptional experts on their respective instruments. Classical works by Georg Friedrich Händel and Antonín Dvořák are mixed with various Jewish musical styles and Arabic folklore in a rousing and artistic manner. A quintet version of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s famous Piano Concerto K. 414 plays a special role, which enjoyed some popularity in concert halls even outside Vienna during the composer's lifetime. “This is a very fun and relaxed program that I’m particularly looking forward to. In my opinion, we are allowed to be more creative in our use of music, to take more risks. I think Mozart isn’t the only one who would like that!” says Omer Meir Wellber, who will pass the ball in highly virtuosic fashion to his fellow musicians in no less than three, completely different musical roles.
