Ludwig van Beethoven:
Violinsonate Nr. 5 F-Dur op. 24 »Frühlingssonate«

Violinsonate Nr. 2 e-Moll op. 36a
Francis Poulenc:
Violinsonate FP 119
Carl Nielsen:
Violinsonate Nr. 1 A-Dur op. 9

His playing is captivating, refined down to the smallest detail, and constantly opens up new perspectives. At the age of 28, Tobias Feldmann displays a musicality that is already mature, which “you otherwise typically encounter with older artists who have matured in wisdom,” as the Thüringer Allgemeine described him. In 2015, the violinist won the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, playing himself to the top of his generation in the process. In Boris Kusnezow he found the ideal duo partner, who in addition to solo performances, has a special passion for chamber music. The pianist celebrated his international breakthrough in 2009 when he won the German Music Competition in the “Liedbegleitung” (song accompaniment) category. Their collaboration on recordings with GENUIN and Alpha Classics were highly praised internationally, so the SHMF can definitely look forward to performances from this duo. Over the course of two evenings, the duo will demonstrate their colorful interpretative class with a varied program ranging from Beethoven, Brahms, and Schubert to the only two sonatas for violin and piano by Nielsen.
