Also as part of the SHMF, Christoph Eschenbach – Principal Conductor of the festival orchestra – invited the three classically trained American musicians from Washington, Philadelphia and New York to his musical birthday party back in 2010, where the groundbreaking, category-busting trio caused a sensation with their very own blend of classical music, elements of country-western, Gypsy music, jazz and hip-hop. Today, the virtuoso triumvirate with its inimitable and versatile style feels at home both at the BBC Proms, on internationally renowned concert stages like New York’s Carnegie Hall or the Royal Albert Hall in London, as well as in intimate club environments around the globe.
