Liebe, Jazz und Übermut – 125 Jahre Ulrich Tukur & Die Rhythmus Boys

Cosmopolitan, charming, lighthearted, and humorous – this is how Ulrich Tukur and his three “Rhythm Boys” are celebrating their 25th band anniversary at the SHMF this summer. The modern dance band formed in 1995 and since then has been reviving the complete wealth of a now almost bygone entertainment culture. The entertainers, always dressed in elegant costumes, are known for enchanting audiences with well-known jazz numbers, chansons, tunes from Cole Porter and Duke Ellington, but also with their own songs. The troupe has also gained a large fan base at the SHMF: After a first appearance in 2015 with the program “Let’s Misbehave” and then generating unbridled enthusiasm in 2018 and 2019 with “Grüß’ mir den Mond” (Greet me the moon), they will appear for the fourth time at the festival in 2020 as good friends. In addition to enthusiasm for performing and plenty of self-irony, they love to bring stories from their twenty-five-year history as a band to the stage. Congratulations!
