Summer, sun & the «Music festival on the countryside»

Musikfest Hasselburg »Ein Scheunenfest«, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, 02.07.23

Listening to exciting artists and bands in front of a picturesque estate backdrop, having a picnic or strolling through ancient avenues - what better way to forget everyday life? The «Music Festivals on the countryside» offer colorful concerts from classical to pop to tango, as well as an enchanting supporting program during the concert breaks outside on the estate grounds: you can meet walking acts such as saxophone-playing chickens, a singing gondolier or an oddball globetrotter. If you don't have your own picnic basket with you, you'll be spoiled for choice with the gastronomic offerings or you can order the SHMF picnic box with regional specialties when you buy your ticket online or by phone.

This year, the estates of Emkendorf (July 6/7), Stocksee (July 13/14), Wotersen (July 27/28), Hasselburg (August 3/4) and Pronstorf (August 17/18) will open their doors and offer a very special concert atmosphere with their riding halls, cowsheds and historic barns. Tickets can be purchased for Saturdays from 1 to 6 p.m. (35 euros), Saturday evenings from 8 to 9.30 p.m. (25 euros) or Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (35 euros).

Saturday evenings are a special tip: for a small ticket price, visitors can experience a wonderful concert and even have the opportunity to enjoy the hustle and bustle on the estate grounds beforehand. At Gut Emkendorf, the band Wildes Holz impressively demonstrates that the recorder fits perfectly into rock and pop music. At Stockseehof Estate, the Belgian band WÖR invites you to a folk night and the band Líadan takes you to the Emerald Isle with Irish folk in Wotersen. At Gut Hasselburg, the audience can expect musical cabaret full of passion and humor from the duo Mackefisch and the internationally renowned clarinetist David Orlowsky can be experienced at Gut Pronstorf with his new band colleagues, guitarist Daniel Stelter and drummer Tommy Baldu.

During the concerts, the youngest guests can visit the children's music workshop on all music festival weekends, where they are supervised by experienced music teachers and introduced to music in a playful way.

This summer, the ADFC Lübeck is offering a bike tour to the Hasselburg estate and the Pronstorf estate for all two-wheel enthusiasts, allowing cyclists to reach their destination in time for the Saturday concerts from 1 to 6 pm. Registration and further information at www.touren-termine.adfc.de
