The idyllic park grounds are located in a natural conservation area and are currently being shaped into a nature-experience park. The park serves as an exhibition center for the sculptures of internationally renowned artists, which have been acquired by the Herbert-Gerisch Foundation. The park is idyllically situated at the Gerisch residence, on Neumünster’s Schwale River. The foundation was established in December 2001 by the former Executive Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the BIG-BAU group, Herbert Gersich. The foundation is situated in Neumünster and is dedicated to the promotion of the fine arts and the preservation of monuments. With its harmonic combination of contemporary art and nature, Gerisch-Park offers a familiar atmosphere among enchanting ambience as a venue for the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival.
