The Schauspielhaus (Theater) on Holtenauer Straße in Kiel has room for over 400 guests. This theater can look back on a history full of change. In 1907, the theater on Holtenauer Straße was built as Kiel’s second stage, next to the state theater (now the opera house). Starting in 1949, it served as a cinema for five years. The building was renovated and modernized between 1996-98 and now has exceptional acoustics and possesses extensive and modern stage equipment.
