For the seventh year in a row, violinist and passionate music educator Daniel Hope will be a guest in the Hanseatic City for a weekend as the impetus and curator for the Lübeck-Musikfest. The thematic focus this year is the composer Franz Schubert, and once again there will be some new venues to discover. They are characterized by more space, but with all the charm. For example, Daniel Hope will be performing on Lübeck’s open-air stage, in the rooms of the Kulturwerft Gollan, and in the Bürgerpark of the Vorwerker Diakonie. Tried and tested venues like the Hansemuseum and the Atlantic Hotel in Travemünde will also be back. “I want to honor Franz Schubert in a way that does justice to all his diversity and charm. Together with my friends, we want to turn the Lübeck Music Festival into a veritable Schubertiade.” In keeping with this tradition, the concerts will be full of chamber music compositions by the early Romantic composer and will approach Schubert’s oeuvre from the most diverse angles. As always, Daniel Hope has several top-class musical personalities at his side, who will join him in shaping the weekend.
The Lübeck Music Festival is sponsored by Possehl-Stiftung Lübeck.
