The Wotersen estate suddenly became famous at the end of the 1980s thanks to the television series »Das Erbe der Guldenburgs«. In 1996, after almost 300 years of ownership by the von Bernstorff family, the estate passed to the Gaedeke couple. The castle-like manor house was remodelled in the middle of the 18th century. Behind the castle is a huge landscaped park with ancient trees. The park is only open to visitors during the music festival and is ideal for spreading out a picnic blanket and refreshing body and soul after the concerts. The 19th century riding hall is acoustically ideal for concerts, and the neighbouring »Remisenhof« and the extensive lawns invite you to linger during the breaks. Visitors can also indulge in culinary delights in front of the »Haferscheune«.
