Saxophoneworkshop

Full of anticipation, this year's portrait artist Asya Fateyeva will give a saxophone workshop in the coming summer of 2024, offering people aged 16 and over the opportunity to pursue their musical passion. 

The workshop days are a time full of joy and musical playing of the saxophone, concluding with a joint concert in Lübeck Cathedral. 

Asya Fateyeva is a saxophonist known for her outstanding musical skills and performances as a classical saxophonist. She has studied at renowned music conservatories, including the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg and the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre, Germany. She has received numerous prizes and awards for her musical work and is considered one of the leading saxophonists of her generation. Asya Fateyeva lives in Hamburg and teaches at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre.

Conditions of participation:

We are looking for saxophone players from the age of 16 (suitable for beginners with at least 2 years of playing experience, hobby musicians with long playing experience, semi-professionals and students) who enjoy playing their instrument and want to become part of the largest saxophone ensemble in Schleswig-Holstein. In order to be able to put together a strong-sounding saxophone orchestra, we are looking for different voice ranges of the saxophone to enrich the workshop with the timbres of their instruments. 

The final concert will take place on 17 August in Lübecker Dom.

accomodation in the youth hostel: 300€
hotel accomodation (shared double room with single beds): 500€
no accomodation needed: 270€
